Schwartzkopf Printing, Inc.
prides ourself on being a family owned and operated business for over 35 years. And it is not just because the owners are part of the every day business, but because each staff member has his or her own place in this family.
Many of our employees have been working hard for Schwartzkopf Printing for over 10 years. Their knowledge comes with years of hands on experience and printing expertise. Each job that enters and leaves this company has been guided and produced by the best hands this industry can offer.
MEET THE OWNERS
Schwartzkopf Printing, Inc.
was founded in 1972 as a small, one press shop on Third Street in Downtown Alton by Neal Schwartzkopf. His daughter, Terry, and son, Jim, assisted him in operating the business.
As the business grew, so did Jim’s interest in one day owning the business. With many long hours, sweat and devotion, Jim and his wife, Donna, acquired ownership in 1989.
Jim, Donna and their incredible staff have taken that once small shop to one of the most successful print shops in the bi-state area.
Jim continued to grow the commercial aspect of the shop and gave support to Donna as she expanded the business into screen printing. Her hard work, sacrifice and dedication produced a company that now prints 100s to 1000s of apparel daily.
Jim and Donna have two daughters, Laura Manns and Monica Fischer. Both girls have grown up with their family at Schwartzkopf Printing.
“I can remember sitting at the old drawing table for the graphic artists, playing and drawing with all of the colored pencils and markers, and thinking I was the coolest kid alive! Or when our press operator, Tony Rain, would walk on his hands to make me laugh!”
commented Laura Manns.
Outside of work, Jim and Donna are very active in their church, St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Alton. Jim was ordained a deacon in June of 2012 and helps his church by answering his call to God. Every aspect of their life, in and out of work, is guided by their faith.

3RD GENERATION
Monica Fischer
is the daughter of Jim and Donna. She is learning the overall business to continue as the 3rd generation of this family owned company. Monica oversees all of the screen printing and customer service.
Laura Manns
is the daughter of Jim and Donna. She stays involved in any way she can. Laura has been working side by side with Monica to help grow their family owned business.
Meet The Staff
Managers
Denise McCurdy is the office manager. She oversees all commercial print jobs from the early stages of bidding to handing the finished product to the customer at pick up. She has extensive knowledge of the printing business and all aspects of the company.
Kerry Brown is the production manager. He helps out in many ways from running the Xerox to making plates and working with the bindery staff.
Billy Patterson
oversees the production of the screen printing side of the business. His hard work and quick learning skills have made him a valuable asset to the company.
FRONT OFFICE
Terry Dressel
has been with the business since the doors opened. She ran the first press when her dad, Neal, opened the business. Now, she is the accountant for the company and oversees all ordering of the promotional items. Her knowledge is irreplaceable!
Anne Frakes loves working with customers and creating lasting relationships. She assists in purchasing and deliveries. You will never meet a sweeter person. She always finishes the printing process with a smile!
Nikki McCormick helps with screen printing orders, answering phones and customer service. You can find her in the front office cheerfully meeting our customers.
Lauren McBride, also, assists with orders, answering phones and customer service. She always greets our customers with a smile!
GRAPHIC DESIGNERS
We have three designers in-house. They each have their own unique contribution to the work that leaves our doors. From provided art to recreating and designing from scratch, they are happy to use their talents to produce beautiful work!
